The Product
Rex–The Talking Bottle verbally identifies bottle contents and informs people on the proper administration of their medication. Bottles may be recorded with prescription label information or other pertinent easy to understand instructions. The recorded message is easily played back by pressing and holding a button on the base of the bottle. Rex benefits those who are elderly, blind, visually impaired, cognitively impaired, illiterate or anyone who has difficulty reading or understanding medication label instructions. Rex is also ideal when language differences can make accurate comprehension of medication instructions problematic. Rex is completely disposable, so cross contamination risks are reduced. Each bottle is powered by a battery encased in the base of the bottle. The battery life generally exceeds the length of the prescription.

How It Works
Microelectronic technology is embedded in the base of each bottle. A special bottle recorder microphone allows the user to record the medication use information directly into the bottle.
